Piper is the inspiration, namesake, and heart of Pipers. She is Sarah’s much-loved Stabyhoun (pronounced Sta-BYE-hoon), a breed that originates from the Netherlands and is still relatively rare outside of her home country.

Originally bred as an all-round working and gun dog, Stabyhouns were valued for their versatility and loyalty. Piper is a wonderful example of her breed — loving, playful, intelligent, and gentle.

Piper pops into day care as and when she pleases, usually timing her visits perfectly with food enrichment activities. She’s well known to our clients, checking out their cars for any stray snacks before they leave!

She brings joy and smiles every single day, and it was only fitting that the business she inspired carries her name.
